Originally, I had applied for the CTCI program because I was interested in the Rhymebus Corp. and visit to the Sun Moon Lake. After the trip, I think the program is great and useful for students and as well as these companies. For students, visiting enterprise representatives gave us introduction about the company, its vision, corporate culture, and the site tour of daily operations and product development. It helped us to understand what these companies are working on right now and what kinds of challenges they are facing. For companies, it would be a good chance to introduce their business to students coming from different countries. This may help them to attract foreign talents and the corporate brand can be well known internationally. From the visit, I learned that Taiwan’s multi-national companies such as MiTAC, HIWIN, and Advantech are leaders in their fields. Personally, the Tier Two visiting companies did not fully match my major of power electronics for job matching, but InvesTaiwan Service Center gave me clear understandings on what I need to do or have in order to find a suitable job in Taiwan. In the third day, I enjoy the time at the Sun Moon Lake which is a popular tourism site in Nantou Taiwan. It was good to learn the local history and the culture of people living there. I enjoyed the beautiful dance performance and the visit to the Hakka Cultural Development Center. Generally speaking, the program was well executed. There were no issues about transportation, food, or accommodation, and everything went smoothly. The visit also helped us to build a new professional networking with people from other countries, which is very important to career development in the future. I appreciate the support and effort for people who were involved in this activity. I hope CTCI’s Enterprise Visit activity will continue and I would recommend my friends to join.
