The 2018 CTCI Science and Technology Scholarship Award Ceremony hold on the 10th floor Conference Room 1001 of the Chang Yung-Fa Foundation’s International Convention Center at 10:00 am on December 22 (Saturday). Chairman of the board-Dr. Wen-Yan Pan, made a personal appearance at the Ceremony. Chairman Pan said that “CTCI Science and Technology Scholarship” has been awarded to approximately 3,800 excellent students since 1963. The total award prize is over TWD 150 million. Various businesses and activities have been handled. We devoted the objects for which CTCI foundation is established. “Introducing cutting-edge knowledge of science and technology, Cultivating talents, Assisting domestic and overseas economic development, Enhancing productivities of manufacturing industries”. As the chairman of CTCI foundation, I dare not forget the objects. Distinguished guest- Former Vice President Mr. Vincent Siew pointed out that Scholarship is an excellent system. Only in a foundation that caring in education and willing to devote more time and energy to provide scholarships. CTCI foundation devoted the objects itself since established. Each successive Chairman showed selfless devotion to duty. Making CTCI foundation plays an important role in domestic economic development from an obscure foundation. He hopes that all winners will carry forward and further develop the spirit of CTCI foundation. Let Taiwan’s technology and economy brilliant worldwide. Besides, CTCI Foundation also invited the Former President of National Taiwan Normal University- Dr. Guo-En Chang to be a Keynote speaker. He shares new knowledge with the winners and encourage students the thinking should have under new generation of AI. In addition, CPC chairman-Dr. Tai Chein, Cross-Straits Common Market Foundation chairman- Hou Sheng Chan, CTCI Group’s chairman- John T. Yu, KKPC chairman- Lu Wei Chen and many other guests such as winning student's supervisors、families and friends and CTCI Foundation’s directors, nearly 200 people attended this awarding ceremony.

In 2018 CTCI Foundation Science and Technology Scholarship, 19 students won the "Research Scholarship"; 16 individuals (groups) won the "Innovation Scholarship" and 20 students won the "Research Scholarship for International Graduate Students". Each student (group) was awarded a scholarship NT$ 150,000 and Chinese/English Certificate of merit, in addition, 17 students won the “Living Grants for International Graduate Students", each student was awarded a scholarship NT$ 100,000. There are 91 winning students from 11 universities awarded by Chairman of the board-Dr. Wen-Yan Pan, CPC chairman-Dr. Tai. Chein, Cross-Straits Common Market Foundation chairman- Hou Sheng Chan, and CTCI Group’s chairman - John T. Yu. After that, winners had photo taken with all honored guests.
